No, the HR girl will call you with available slots.

She will say... I have a PO 747-400 ORD slot, or she will say I have a Atlas slot. You can pass if you want to wait for one or the other before you start.

It appears that you will also be reviewed by an Atlas MEC representative on the interview/hiring board whether you go to Atlas or Polar judging from a recent Atlas union VARS. A little long winded on some other issues, but is detailed towards the end of the message. Somewhere in the future, it appears you will be Atlas.

Be sure to tell them you are okay with guys scabbing work.

I'm certain the Atlas MEC interview/hire board representative will be directed to approve only those that demonstrate true union brotherhood professionalism and a willingness to lookout for the group versus that in which we have seen demonstration at Polar. Such as when they volunteered to fly struck Atlas aircraft and flights (under the Bob Fell MEC). More quality persons such as those Atlas crewmembers that went on a sympathy strike for Polar despite Polar's previous behavior for the common good of all when ALPA National only said "good luck" with no other support or backup for Atlas crewmembers.

You are obviously not part of the answer weasel_lips gave in Q4 a few posts back. You must be part of the 10% they talk about in disdain when in a mixed crowd.

While I posted towards the merit of this thread for info on Polar in view of the upcoming merger which could be important to a new hire, I don't have a problem rehashing Polar actions on a new thread germane to that. Judging from the recent actions by ALPA National, some of which was addressed in the prior posted link, they are tired of the Polar MEC continued campaign to defer blame for their actions also.

I had to listen to that message again.

Is Dave running for office? That whole message reaked of a lame campaign speech. Does he think that anyone from Polar would vote for him even if he died of black lung in another life? Maybe he and his not so svelte side kick are worried about what life in the cockpit would be like.

Cfire says, "You must be part of the 10% they talk about in disdain when in a mixed crowd."

The only percent that Polar pilots talk about in any crowd are the 37% of the Atlas pilots who make up your MEC. If you drop the FE rep it's down to less than 1%.

"I think most of this is over the "follow the flying" the Polar MEC wants. That is really trying to get another piece of the seniority pie from the merger seniority (Atlas/Polar) list arbitration award they didn't get (the bump and flush) when Polar decided they were going to merge at one time. Kind of a shame since they really made out on that arbitration with Atlas pilots as having really lost out in the finalized list." Quote from Cfire.

It is not about getting a piece of the seniorty pie, your imcompetent MEC already did that for us, it is about us making AAWH respect their contractual obligations.

Cfire you are a load of fun. How many Polar pilots snuck across Atlas picket lines, answer; none, because you didn't have the stones to picket. How many Atlas pilots snuck across Polar picket lines on the floor of a vans with blacked out windows? Only we, you and ALPA know because we have the list.
THERE WILL BE NO MERGER.

Ouch! Thats why its always nice to carry a good camera.

Forgive the delay. Got busy and only after someone PM'd me for info on this thread did I notice your response. I see MEC Bobb Henderson and Robin Hair(Not MEC but the Shadow MEC) has had time to make your reply.

Doesn't matter, Henderson is gone when we merge. Just mere Atlas numbers and the pure hate he generated guarantees that. Maybe that is why Bobb Henderson is dragging this out sooo long. Doesn't want to give up the 100 guaranteed hours pay a month while sitting on his house boat in the Bahamas.

It was a Labor Day message and I don't think politics had much to do with it

Actually, it was our Atlas Amussen, Weiss, Haskell one term MEC that did it to us. That LOI that was negotiated in Las Vegas with the Polar MEC that was never implemented until Polar found a use for it in the merger process. All the follow the work parts never came to being when it could have saved Atlas jobs and A/C that were moved to Polar during the Atlas initial contract negotiations that Polar benefited from. Of course when it happens to Polar everyone at Atlas are called scabs when those A/C and flying came back to us.

The seniority merger arbitrations if you want to read through them (1500 pgs). Seems to cover a lot of other issues that keep coming up also. Don't just read the Polar lawyers questioning of your guys. 2MB file below. Long download.

Actually, we did picket. LAX, ORD, DFW, AMS, ANC, MIA. It was around twenty minutes prior to those active informational picket lines were going to become active strike lines did we find out that your MEC Chairman (Bob Fell at the time) volunteered all of the Polar group to fly (5) Atlas aircraft and contracts after the count down. Fell called asking for relief from the previously agreed upon struck work rules. Proved out during the Bobb Henderson "Get all the liars together" meeting with the retired AFLCIO Secretary Treasure mediating.

To give credit, the other two of the Polar MEC Greg Dimoff or Denim Yarger were "monitoring the Polar loads" in New York. How comforting, especially after Chairman Fell volunteered Polar to scab.

We went on a sympathy strike for Polar when NO ONE ELSE did and were ordered back to work by the courts while you occasionally had a picket up. Despite all of the bad blood between us from Polar MEC actions.

We gave a thousand times more than we ever got from you or your MEC's

Actually your self made list was illegally published on Pprune. Probably by request of Bobb Henderson to one of his flunkies. Your Article 8 charges against them never made it through ALPA National. Copy of it located on the above page also( My backup is documented here ). The way it was filed makes me think you never had any proof and did so only to help your MEC look good to his membership. Especially after all of National's prompting for evidence.

That is also why there was an on going legal action. As a matter of fact, ALPA has taken over the handling of what was going to be a legal action against the Polar MEC and is mediating it internally since ALPA found that they were going to have to pay for the Polar MEC's legal council. That is finally coming to a hearing soon. Now that the Polar lawyer has been moved out of the way from the intentional knuckle dragging.

So as they say, "Put up or shut up." It seems you can't do either. Mouthing off and proving nothing.

And I'm a guy not even on that list. Maybe your group should lash out at your own leadership.
