What kind of time were Polar/Atlas looking for when they were about to start hiring?

Easy now, Rhoid. That kind of attitude will keep you in the corporate mailing tube for the rest of your days- if not in the "FIRED" file...not that the lear is a bad airplane..but you do want to go someplace else.

We all think we are the best- we are pilots, afterall... show it by being laid back, standard, and smart...not in displaying a supersized ego.

roid - which I believe is short for a problem I DON'T have. You? ' If I am not mistaken, anyway thanks for the PM! Commuter boy, is that how you referred to me? Know what? At the present time, yes I happen to fly for what you mistake is a commuter airline. It is actually a national carrier...check the government statistics, all over the US, Canada, Mexico and the Bahamas. Yep, employed, flying, PIC, jet, larger than a 'Lear', pretty good QOL, always could be better, that could be said for any job, great bunch of pilots I fly with.

So, how's it going with your job?

take it easy francis

getting back to the atlas polar thread..... i heard from a friend of a friend that hiring is on hold for a while ( don't know what a while means ) while they are re-aligning bases. for those of you who knows what that means feel free to shed some light for those of us that don't know what that means.

That is incorrect.

Polar will be hiring 30 F/O 's real soon as anounced by the chief pilot yesterday.

Good luck to whoever is trying to get a job here

Atlas Air Hiring

It was also recently announced that we'll be hiring at Atlas, they say could be as much as 50 new pilots and engineers, just don't know exactly when

There will be only one certificate and that is Polar. Right now Atlas is flying a whole Polar freight, with the exception of China, Korea, and Japan. We are Atlas's best customer.
The list are supposed to be merged by next year but don't bet on it. There is a lot of difference in the contracts and QOL is at the top of Poalr's list. Ours is great and we will not give it up.and we have a date of hire senioroty system, not seat like Atlas and the MEC will fight tooth and nail to keep it that way.
