Just wondering if any Polar Pilots on the forum? If so does Polar upgrade their F.E.'s into the right seat? How about Atlas?

They use PFEs. Most are former military enlisted flight engineers. Pilots hired go directly to the right seat.

Zmaniac,
Atlas uses Professional Engineers. That said there is an upgrade program for them. We have had many engineers upgrade to the right seat and then onto the left seat.
I'am not sure about the flight hours required but it is fairly low, it is a great program to get into the right seat and onwards.........

We also have retired pilots that go back to the engineer seat. It flows both ways.

Cheers,

Iceberg
