Just got an email from Wake saying that he is resigning his position as the MEC chairman. Any ideas what's going on? Rumors?

What's going on? Nothing, really. He's just worn out after years and years of this. I believe he's the second longest-serving MEC Chairman in ALPA right now. That job is a major drain on anyone. With the company unwilling to reach a TA in the foreseeable future, I can definitely understand his desire to hang it up.

Maybe he's tired of a.hole management, and even more tired of a.hole pilots that don't know to stay unified with the MEC durring negotions. Too bad, he worked his arse off on this contract. Thanks Wake

Probably a little tired of a union that is a joke..... Brand scope didn't work out in the RedTail family....

Joe, I have been reading your junk for awhile. You are really fixated on this brand scope stuff. You really need to get some therapy if you think this guy ever bought into that brand scope garbage.

I'm not fixated on it..... ALPA is.... If it is "garbage", then maybe we need to question our union.... it s they who are selling this "garbage"....

He's going back to flying for Pinnacle, right? He's not retiring for good, right?

The point is, Joe, that you are speculating about a guy you couldn't pick out of a line-up. You have no idea who he is, what he believes or anything else about the guy. Then you say he "probably" did this or that and throw out the "branded scope" deal. Man, you need to get another issue. How about domestic cabotage or getting a release from the NMB.

grow up Joe... the World doesn't exist for your version of reality....

There are 60,000 pilots at ALPA that want the organiztion to function 60,000 different ways... Just cause it isn't going your way why do you got to pee in everyone elses Wheaties.....??

Yeah ALPA has problems... but it be allot easier if you weren't tainting the well....

He'll still be flying for us. He was a check-airman years ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if he applied for that again since we still have openings.

Good.

I know you're an MEC member, PCL, give us the truth. Did he resign or was he forced out?
