They also should not be forgotten, but remember they were volunteers and those who lost their lives on 9/11 were victims. And some will politicize the dead while others sacrifice for what they believe is right.

how bout we don't forget the 6000 troops that lost their lives in these senseless wars the last 12 years.

Fixed it for ya. Thanks for thinking of them. I'm amazed at the number of people out there that have no idea we're even still in Afghanistan, or that the war is still going. It's staggering.

I love it when those who have never spent a day in the military espouse on "senseless" wars. For the record they are all senseless but many are necessary. If you are not going to serve or have never served the don't run your mouth about war, you dishonor those who serve and those who die.

So only veterans are entitled to opinions about national defense. Got it.

Are we entitled to pontificate about crime, or is that reserved for law enforcement professionals only?

Agreed.

The military falls under the command of the gov't, the gov't is elected by and works for the people (at least it used to).

OP - Good thread.

All you other feces barfers, go to hell.

Correct, you have no legitimate say on either. Except to say thank you and move along.

Fair enough. That goes for Rummy, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Limbaugh, Hannity, Krystal, Coulter and the rest of the chickenhawks?

I trust you'll keep any opinions on crime and science to yourself -- unless you're an ex-cop or ex-scientist.
