I just saw this, absolutely pathetic. Please, nobody sign up for this degrading slave-labor $hit! Absolutely insulting to our profession!

Description
Hey CFI - bad weather day? Airlines not calling yet? have some extra time?
We're offering a short term job that doesn't pay too much ($7/hr), but the upside is that you can do it from your home computer in your fuzzy bunny slippers, it is a potential good resume point, and you can more or less do it on your own schedule (though it has to be done in the next few weeks). Furthermore, it capitalizes on that great trove of aviation knowledge that you've been accumulating over the years!

Basically it's this: we're writing some FAA Checkride Oral Exam prep software. We need you to help write the questions and also check existing ones. You'll sit there and write interesting questions and thoughtful answers. Right now we could use some help with IFR, though Commercial Pilot and other versions of the software will also need doing.

Here's basically what we're looking for: The things marked with an asterisk are optional, but preferred. The things marked with a dash (-) are non-negotiable.

- you are a competent flight instructor who has a wealth of aviation knowledge. We will of course direct you sort of on what we expect from you, but you need to be on the ball to start. - ideally you are currently flight instructing or have been recently. since this is an IFR job, this means instrument instructing. - you can write intelligent content in English. - you have basic (emphasis: BASIC) HTML skills - you have access to a PC with a fast internet access, and have some time (40 hour min?) over the next 2-3 weeks to work on this. Again, this can be at 3am - we don't mind - as long as you do a good job. * you have basic skills with adobe photoshop or some other paint / photo tool and are comfortable with basic manipulations of files. basically, we have access to images that you can use to illustrate your questions and answers, but we want you to be not completely clueless as to how to use this. * you have no fundamental objection to us potentially listing you as a co-author o the project and you will give us a professional photo of yourself that we can use for online publication.

Interetsted?

Please email [email protected]. You dont have to go out of your way and prepare a whole new resume, but just send over something that you have and a brief introductory letter so that we get a sense of who you are.

Payment will most likely be via PayPal, over the internet, though this is somewhat negotiable.

We are an equal opportunity employer. However, those applicants who actually take a few moments to look at our website and see what we're all about rather then just emailing us in a haze will typically have more equal opportunities than others, if you get our drift. Do a modicum of research first on our website at www.checkride.com.. k? Thanks!
