That said, you need to realize the incredible numbers of experienced pilots who are looking for a similar position, some with over twice the experience of your friend.

JB, it's very decent of you to take the initiative to help your friend. Not many people left in this world that will do that for someone else. My suggestion is for you to help your friend by keeping his motivation up, supporting his decisions, and offering any job leads you find.

The folks here are right .... times are tough now, and it will take perseverance and determination to succeed in this current job market. Don't give up, above all else. Best wishes to you and your buddy
