a cargo shorts FO told me that by jan 1 or jan 31, plastic company i.d's will be required.

my company only has 3 pilots and my boss pretty much leaves everything up to us - anyone have any details about these new i.d.'s (how to get (apply for) them, etc) ?

thanks

Send me a check made out to cash in the amount of $89.95 and I will send you a genuine ID that says youre a pilot.

This doesnt mean you can go fly through clouds when flying VFR. Its just so you can get into the company cafeteria for a bologna sandwich every once in a while.

i made my current id by cutting up business cards and then laminating it.

i know a guy who flies for a small 135 company that happens to have the same name as a big 135 company. he gets jumpseats on a major because the computer doesn't know the difference in the two company's!

Because of a**holes like your buddy, the rest of us are unable to obtain cockpit access. I hope he is happy pretending to be someone hes not. IDIOT

Little does this guy know that he's risking every single qualified and eligible 121 pilot's ability to jumpseat. Fraud in this area is taken VERY seriously, and the whole program could go away faster than you can eat the eggshells we're walking on here. Please tell him to stop. If I ever again find a job flying, I'll need a jumpseat to get to work. None of us need some knothead to ruin it for us all!

Here's a rocket scientist. Let me know how the inside of a jail cell looks when you get caught falsifying credentials to obtain access to an aircraft in revenue service. I believe the feds take that pretty seriously. It's a priviledge to ride jumpseat, and you're screwing it up for those of us that need it in our livelihood. Go on greyhound when you need to visit your uncle in prison.
