A single engine plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Atlantic Boulevard.

No one was hurt in the landing. The pilot apparently put the plane down on a busy street during rush hour, did not touch a thing, no power lines, no traffic lights, no light posts. The cops towed the plane back to the airport, then warned the pilot not to park in a no parking zone..

Hats off to pilot for successful landing.

Thank God for drivers doing 70 in a 35 huh! I use to drive that streach of highway everyday. Not a good place to land an airplane at all.

GOOD JOB PILOT!!!!

I think the problem is that the original poster pasted a link to realvideo versus the actual news story link.

No joy on this end either

This is why you do not drink a pot of coffee before you fly.:D You never know when "it's" going to come back and haunt ya.

Sorry about the link folks. Ok, clue me in - I am missing the bit about drinking a pot of coffee before flying.

Was he on an IFR flight plan? I wonder if ATC had him descend to a lower altitude or if he had no choice (losing power) and just happened to break out over the road?

All right...call me a jerk, an ass whole, a knob or whatever. But how can you be "forced" to make an emergency landing? Did somebody hold a cordless drill to the pilot's head and say..."look sukah...you be landin dis plane, or you be gettin a Black and Decker Doans Pill!"
