plane just sitting at dtw

MAybe someone can shed some light, i had a trip recently and i saw a delta painted e170 sitting off the ramp every day for 5 days straight. It did not look like it was flying at all. I figured it could have been a mechanical thing, but then i thought, maybe its trennary and steelands secret meeting place, and pretty soon they will rip the fake delta cover off and reveal NewCO and fly off on vacation while nwa pilots loose their jobs.

It's a Reshuttlepubliqua Airplane. We're flying Delta Connection outta DTW to CVG and SLC for September and October only. TDY base and everything.
