Pit Shutting Down?

PIT is already a ghost town. I didn't think it could get any "less busy." Every time I go there now, I think to myself what a ghost town it is compared to what it once was. For those that live or work there it has to be a real bummer. Good Luck. (sincerely meant, no sarcasm or hidden meaning)

Agreed. I flew in and out of PIT in the mid-90's, during the heyday, and you'd never think in a million years that USAir would pull out of PIT. That'd be like NWA pulling out of MSP, or DAL pulling out of ATL.

Too bad, it always seemed like a nice place, had good eats on those 3 hours sits, and was probably the best run hub in the system, ATC wise. You couldn't ask for a prettier ride than the DHC-8 from CHO to PIT in the fall.
