I'm not a Meridian expert by any means, but I have a close friend that operates one Part 91 for a doctor. Of course I talk to him a lot about it! He loves the way it flies, and it's a pretty simple plane to operate. He claims 240-250 knots (forget at what altitude, though).

The problem is that his airplane only has about 1650 pounds of useful load, and if you fill the tanks (170 gals), you only get about 4 hours of flying time with reserves. With the tanks full and 4 moderately sized guys onboard, he's already over gross. The doctor only flies around Texas, so it's a good airplane for him, but if you need longer legs and plan on filling the plane with folks - you might want to look somewhere else.

the compnay i fly for almost picked one of these up. I demo'd a conversion down in Verobeach. Not the meridian put the Mirage conversion. It was good on climb outs, high tas about FL250 but the useful loads were pretty low. If you are flying 3 people it would be great. Any more go for the PC12 or TBM700. if you want single engine turboprop. TBM isnt really that much bigger, but has more power

we bought a meridian last month we love it -the tbm i would say is superior but one million dollars more. the useful load is a bit low but ours has the useful load increase which helps. A big limiting factor is -34 degrees which can happen pretty low which then slows you down and eats more fuel. We are in Scottsdale we can take 3 people to sac full fuel fl 280 at 265 true. the ac is perfect for what we do. and it has a great avionics package. good luck, contact me if you want more info. Jon
