Ouch!

NTSB Vice Chairman Robert Sumwalt unloaded harshly on former CP T.M. for his soon-to-be infamous "on-time performance is how I montior safety and SOP compliance" remark.

After tearing apart the crew (no comment) the board is agressively going into PCL's (lack of) safety culture. About f'ing time.

I say open the flood gates and bring it on!

Will Mr. Fell et al have any response. Probably not. Just silence.

They are talking about how the aircraft will get a stall warning at the top of the speed indicator. But NOT ABOVE FL300! These people still don't get it. The stall warning comes on much earlier at that kind of altitude to help protect from engine stalls, not wing stalls. If you aren't aware of this fact, it will suprise the h*ll out of you. The electronics of the stall computer are completely different at higher altitudes.....

Absolutely amazing!

They can't even get the investigation right for God's sake.

A stall at 10,000 (which is what we train for) is completely different at such a high altitude.

It will be interesting to read the final report. I agree, I am not impressed with the Precision of speech by the board members--but then if you read their biographies, you will see that Deborah is an overglorified school bus driver with a Master's in "conflict resolution."

All I have to say is...."more cow bell please"! Just wait till the final comes out then rip them apart!
