Any other classes you saw in that vacancy?
The last vacancy shows Oct.2 and Oct.21 as class dates.

But...any changes to any classes prior to that would not be listed on this latest vacancy. Which means that classes in Sept. are separate from this vacancy.

They had anticipated having 70 seat aircraft by October - December so they had been hiring to cover attrition, growth and the ensuing staffing issues that would go along with running classes for differences or a whole new airplane. It appears that the airplanes are not going to be flown for slave wages so the deliveries were delayed and classes needed to be adjusted.

Just for the record. No one knows who's getting NW's 70-seaters. The truth is, Pinnacle can't even staff the 120 or so 50/44 seaters they currently have. If they do get 70 seaters, they won't be with Northwest. And NW will not allow Pinnacle to fly for another carrier. So it looks like for now, Pinnacle will be operating their current fleet until NW starts parking the inefficient 50 seaters and operating 70 seaters on those routes.
YPF- Right or Wrong.

Can't a new hire class also be scheduled the same time as an upgrade class? I dont know how much room and how many sims are in MEM.
But in terms of new hire classes, what's still running for this year (if any new hire classes are scheduled) ?

This is completely inaccurate. The cancellation of classes is due to the usual seasonal reduction in flying coupled with slightly lower attrition the past 2-3 months compared with earlier this year. There were no plans, and there still aren't any plans, to staff for any 70+ seat aircraft.

the CEC certainly has the space to fit both a new hire class and an upgrade class. But FlightSafety, with it's three simulators, doesn't have the capacity to train 40+ people in an efficient timeframe. just ask anyone that was in ground school with me earlier this year...

Drink up
