For all you 9Eers,

Do you remember when you got your travel privileges? Was it a couple weeks or sooner? Also, what's the workload and is there an opportunity to go home on weekends?

I got the hint that they sort of frown on weekend travel, and want to get the straight scoop from those who know.

You don't get your badge until you pass your checkride, so you can't JS until then. During the big holidays, they may issue standby pass to students so you can go home for the long weekend. Otherwise, be prepared to stay in MEM for the whole time.

Concur with last post. You may get a pass if there is a big gap in the time from ground shool to the sim, and if there any sim gaps, but the CEC will decide on that. Otherwise it will be the day you finish your sim checkride and get the blue company ID...pluss they have to put your pic in the CASS program. Always have your passport just in case.
