Discounted travel on most airlines. Buddy passes on NWA but you have to 'babysit' your buddy. Non-rev on PCL is based on seniority thruout the NWA system. Example being...You your wife and kid want to non-rev on pinnacle but an NWA gate agent her husband and kid want to non-rev on the same pncl flight and your seniority is less than hers(usually the case) you stay home.

This is not the way I understand it to be. The above mentioned scenario would only be true on a nw or xj flight. On a 9e flight you would be 5 and the NWA agents family would be a 5w which is a lower priority. I had this happen BOS-MEM last month. It was some NWA CSA supervisor and I got on and he didn't.

thanks for info.. when do you get your benifits? I guess I need to know if you get your company ID the first day of training? Or do you get it when you pass the ride? I will need to jumpseat A.S.A.P or my girlfriend will start to get upset if I don't see her for months at a time...

My understanding was that it changed when we got the e-passes and now NW employees can bump us if they have the seniority.

Sunchaser: You don't get the ID until you pass the checkride and finish your LOFT sim session. They don't even consider you an employee until then.

Technically PCL_128 is correct. Although... most NWA people when they list do it as a 5W on 9E and XJ. Personally that is the way it should be, our own company aircraft we should get a little bit of priority.

If you list using the non rev travel number it automatically lists you as 5 or 5w as appropriate for each segment of the trip

ARe they your own aircraft? I thought NW owned them and pays a fee per flight to fly them. Therefore they are paying 9E to Operate the whole airplane not for individual seats. Horizon flys airplanes for frontier with a fee per departure structure and Frontier employees get priority over Hoirizon employees. Even though in this case Horizon owns the airplanes and operates the flights. Reason being is that Frontier is paying for the flight if it is empty or full and therefore should dictate non-rev priority on the Horizon flight. On Horizons "at risk" flying they give there own employees priority over Alaska and Frontier. On these flights tickets are sold directly through Horizon.

whatever you do, do not list in the back for a CUN-MEM flight and ask the nwa capt if you can ride. because he will be the nicest person in the world and he will tell you yes. then you get asked to leave the plane because some sp*ck with a power trip downstairs told you no in some f!@#$%ng language that we don't speak. then you jumpseat on an ata flight and go all over the world and finnaly get back to memphis so you can roll your happy a$$ to work. So you can fly the CRJ, thats right people, I said the CRJ fliss flossin across the state. just to be pulled off your flight to tell you , you have been fired. then you ask what for and they have no reason but, your on probation. They will fire a perfectly fine pilot just to hire another 300hr wonder. I vote Pinch-a-nickle airlines as the best mngmt, a circus has ever had. And also new-hires, if you are going to be a bear, be a grizzley because you can screw up a plane and keep your job, but try to come to work from vac and get your career screwed by a bunch of, i'll let you deciede what they are!!!

peace out , i'll be at the saucer mofo's
