Great pictures on the alpa home page. Love the giant rat!
Looks like it was a very successful event. Just hope you are not doing it 18 months from now.
I saw the event in Minneapolis last month; the 9e group and their SPC is coming together nicely. We never had an event this strong while in our section 6 two years ago....

I dream of a white christmas, and of a SOS by both airlink carriers sometime in 07, if even for only two hours...come on Wychor and Gordon, get it done!

I dream of a national SOS sometime in 07. Skies as quiet as after 9/11. Full page ad in USA today saying fly your own damn planes,,,, so sad that can't happen in this political climate set forth by 6 years of an idiot in the whitehouse.

is there a link to the article in the Memphis Business Journal?

Hey, thanks! Our SPC group really just started in OCT, so we have a lot of learning and work to do. We really appreciate the support from other airlines, it has been great. More to come...

Pax care nothing at all about pilots with signs. Why would they?

Having the event at corporate was a great idea. A good turnout in front of corporate gives management an idea of what to expect if a vote were taken right now! The count will assist management in setting more realistic expectations at the negotiation table. Anything else will only delay the process because the count has been taken. If the majority of pilots are attending these events it simply translates to management that WE are in agreement and WE will not sign unless WE see improvements.

That big rat seemed to be a childish move that amounted to nothing more than name-calling. Could someone please explain to me how the big rat tactic could possibly help the pilot group?

You missed the part that mentions how personally Phil takes this...

I thought it was pretty funny... Don't know how much good it will do though. My personal opinion is that nothing with PCL is going to get settled without the threat of a work stoppage similar to MSA's contract 2 years ago. Until the company sees a positive strike vote, a deadline set, release from the NMB, and the crews getting instructions on what to do tomorrow after the strike is on, PT and the rest aren't going to do squat. Rat or no rat.

Sorry I had to work, would have LOVED to have come out there and enjoyed the festivities, not to mention hang out in support of some of my friends I saw in the video.

p.s. Why did CS have crutch cards? ;)

I take it personally every 2 weeks when I open my pay stub. Phil needs to get over it and pay us a livable wage with better work rules. Otherwise, STFD.
