Nothing in the contract that permits or forbids payment to a new hire, it is company policy and a new hire is technically not an employee (yet). Although.. now with paying people, I would raise the question of employment or not.

Maybe they will actually get people to interview now...

Dont feel stupid at all. Made my bones flying freight then went to expressicle in 2000 when ALL regionals were hiring. I would be an F/O at many other airlines and in the top 20% here. Not trying to be cocky, just glad to be in the right place at the right time for once and thankful for what I have. Peace be with you Bro.
