Anyone that can tell me how it is to work for these companies. Workschedule, benefits, environment etc.

Feel free to PM me if you want!:)

Anyone see that Colgan upped their starting pay to $14.50/hr??

That's better than Skywest! (and Mesa)

If that's the case, that's also better than Pinnacle's starting pay.

Maybe it's due to the cost of living in VA.

Nope, SkyWest just got better. PM me and i will give you the details.

And its SkyWest, not Skywest! You should know better!!!!

...so nobody that works at either one of these companies...that can give me some info.

Fairly new to American aviation ( I am from northern Europe) and trying to find a nice place to work. The place where I work right now is NOT a nice place to be for many reasons.

Was a Colgan crew scheduler from August to December. Its all based on seniority, as is everything in the airline biz. I was hired to work Fri - Mon 4am-2pm. Benefits include health and 401k, but the 401k sucks. You get non-revenue status on Continnental, US Airways and United. I started at $12, and I still work closely with the other schedulers and I have not heard of this $14 new starting pay. The scheduler who has been there the longest makes around that, which is part of the reason I left, no way to get anymore money really. Also the fact that they scheduled me to work Christmas Eve and Christmas day from 11am - 9pm pissed me off, I understood that I would work those days, but I assumed from 4am - 2pm, not the whole day.
