Not being typed

This is not true. There was a period of time when pilots were not typed right away. I was a April 2000 hire and didnt get the 60 type for 10 months. Some waited longer then that. We were told in the interview that you would be typed, but some reason that changed. I forget what the exact reason was.

Heck we were told alot of lies then. Mainly from KP. She would tell you anything you needed to hear. She needed bodies and didnt care if she lied.

IN and around 1999 flex got caught with its panties down big time. The then stupid mgmt team needed SIC bodies in the 604 so they hired guys right off the street and also what they could spare from the ranks, into the Right Seat !!....WITHOUT A TYPE!

A friend of mine in the 60 was put into that seanerio and wanted the type and offered to pay the difference between a sic and a pic type ride ( actually there was no difference at the time) but the company wouldnt hear of it.

Skip ahead about 5 to 7 months and the customers got wind of what had happend and stuck it to the company about their contract saying "two pilots typed in the aircraft".

Now the company is REALLY in a bind because they have TO SEND EACH PILOT BACK THRU FOR THE COMPLETE TYPE !! and didnt have any bodies to fill in while doing it. Talk about dumb-azz decisions.

Yep ... thats flex...........idiots, especially Parr.
