Pilot Shops (Chicago)

I am new to the Chicago area and was wondering if there are any good pilot shops or stores to go to to purchase things like flight cases and Jepp. binders thanks for the help.

not sure about the bigger things such as flight cases, but ive bought the small stuff like the little crew logbooks and the regular ones from the pilot shop at Palwaukee airport.

Dupage has a nice pilot shop.... called "the pilot shop". I think they have all that stuff. Park at JA if you fly in or it's right by American Flyers if you drive. By far the best shop in the area.

The pilot shop at DPA is decent, but I'm sure better prices can be found online.

The Pilot Shop at DPA and Jim's Pilot Shop at PWK are probably your best bets.

Jim retired a while ago, I think Chicago fliers operates a shop in the same building. Good for charts and approach plates

It's Windy City Flyers (and now the Chicago Executive Airport). No jepps or chart cases, but the entire country in NOS IFR and VFR Low and High alt. The Pilot Shop at DPA has a much larger selection of general merchandise including flight bags and jepp charts. I doubt they're the most competitive in price, but I don't do too much shopping around.

that there is a guy down in chicago that can get you a good deal on shirts. The only thing is they make me look high paid and i am not that.....how can i make them look a little worn out so i fit in down in memphis flying the saab?

if you are dieing for a pilot shop, there are two average ones. One at DPA, and one at LOT.
