Pete Test came to ATA with many friends here and was going to get furloughed. Pete tried to get a voluntary furlough but was denied so he had to resign so that he could make a new hire class at a charter company. Pete would have been furloughed only a few weeks later.

Pete now has no job and no insurance while facing an uncertain future. Pete is a friend without a mean bone in his body, let's see if we can help him. Pete's neighbors made the following flyer that is being circulated around the neighborhood.

Pete Test Family Fund-raiser

OUR FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR NEEDS OUR HELP!

Many of you know Pete, Kim, Olivia and Alden Test. In early November Pete was diagnosed with Central Nervous System (CNS) Lymphoma. Pete’s cancer is located in the Cerebellum, which is located at the base of the brain.

This type of cancer can usually be treated with chemotherapy, but unfortunately, the Test family was just given more bad news. Pete’s immune system was tested before treatment and it was found to be too low to withstand the chemotherapy. If treatment were to start now, the chemotherapy could be detrimental to him. Instead, the doctors will be putting Pete through more tests to determine what is causing the immune deficiency.

As well as these health issues, Pete was just informed that without a valid medical certificate, he no longer has a job doing what he loves and dreams about – being an airline pilot. Our hopes are for a complete recovery and return to work. Unfortunately this will take at least a year. The lack of long and short term disability insurance by Pete's present employer only adds to the financial stress.

The Test family needs our help. The holidays are quickly approaching and this family has no income. They have a mortgage, medical bills and need necessities such as food and utilities.

PLEASE HELP US RAISE MONEY TO HELP THEM THROUGH THEIR TOUGH TIMES
