Anybody out there know what a typical salary might be for a pilot/manager of a CE510 mustang single pilot ops? I have looked at nbaa and I could not find vlj pay. Any insight would be helpful.
thanks

If you ask most people on FI the general consensus would be $184,500 /year. If, on the other hand, this Mustang will operate out of and be based in "reality" I would think NBAA Jet II Captain numbers would be the upper end of what's to be expected ($79,688 avg). NBAA hasn't had a big enough sample of Jet I operators respond so there are no numbers published, I would assume the eventual average will be lower than Jet II which I why I say that average may be a little high.

It's been my observation that even though you're doing Manager/Chief Pilot duties you're still paid like a regular ol' Captain if there's not an actual flight department with a few employees and/or more than one airplane.

Thanks, it is just me so its not like I'm overseeing anyone but I am flying quite a bit on my own and I wanted to get a ballpark figure to ask for a raise.

Off the top of my head I would have said $80,000. Most turboprop (type required) pilots, that doing what you do, get between $60,000 and $80,000. It all depends on where you live.

There is a job advertised today for single pilot Mustang in Chevy Chase, MD. The link for the job says they will pay for the training and salary of 100-140K depending on experience.
