Pilot Initiated Contracts?

Interview on Tuesday...already posted this question but in the edit feature it didn't change the title !@#!%%

Just wondering on the basics of a contract that the employer signs to make them guarantee their promises at the interview. Thoughts, ideas, and comments are appreciated.

As a sim instructor and contract pilot the pay has been exceptional. Just don't want to toss something great for mediocre.
