According to the 3/6 memo for sic lines are going up for MDT ROA SBY SYR,

according to the numbers SBY is the place to go to get a good line. 32 hard lines and as of March they currently had only 26 pilots. ROA had 35 total sic's, and only allowing 40 in the base, (can sombody say "peeps are getting the boot outa roa) CHO looks status quo, as well as EWN, actually a few moe peeps can go there , there was 17 in base as sic's in march and they allow 20 now. LGA has one open, actually heres a easier way to look at it
-----SIC-------
CHO 0 openings
EWN 3 openings
LGA 1 opening
MDT 6 openings
ROA 5 openings
SBY 14 openings
SYR 5 openings

* as we all know seniority has the final say!!!

let me clarify the nubers above, seniority is what matters obviously, if for instance 10 people want SYR that are more senior than 10 that are there right now, then those are kicked... the numbers above are where either displaced due to clt /phf or due to being booted outa base is where peeps are headed, its simple math, either pick that base , or force move, or hold seniority to hold your base

Now this is all for May, right? When will openings for April be out? That is when this base bid is for, right? Or are we bidding in March for May.

....

i'm not sure i follow the supposed openings. i understood the way this works is you can go any place your seniority can hold, have at least one person junior to you, etc. i know more than five of the soon to be displaced fo's are senior enough to hold ROA, but there not going to let more than five fo's move to roa? if ive got it screwed up someone help me out.

ok for ROA i believe there is 40 spots for a total of 32 hard lines , or the 32 number is the anticipated number. THat means esentially everything is a free for all, if 40 people want roanoke that are higher than you, than 'see ya', same goes with the other bases. thats why everyone is saying make sure your perm. bid reflects what you want, because just because you might not have been clt or phf /orf your ass might be kicked outa base....

Just curious, anyone know the DOH for the most junior ROA captain, and most senior f/o...not Joe, he don't count.

there are people in ROA Captain that have been there about 5 or 6 years and there are F.O's that have been around for . well, let me put it this way f'os with 8000 number or 10000 numbers so ROA is not doing good for keeping current peeps there, if i were in ROA i'd walk my resume into mc'y dee-s....

It's actually a fun little city to be based. I kinda miss it there. Granted I wouldn't leave where I am to go back, I had a blast there.

P.S, Don't go to Micky D's, go to one of the pubs downtown, better money, hotter chicks. (or guys, if you swing that way)

If you're getting displaced from either CLT or PHF..

DO NOT CHANGE YOUR PERMANENT BID TO REFLECT THE CLOSURE! Bid whatever base you want (including CLT/PHF). If you're based in one of those places and you change your permanent bid to reflect another base as your first choice, you may not be entitled to an involuntary move. The company can take the stance that since your bid has changed, that you are willingly bidding the new base.

In other words... If you're based in CLT, keep CLT as your first choice. Same goes for the other bases.

If you have any questions regarding this, contact your status rep.

....

i understand what your saying, but do you really think they would try to pull a stunt like that, even after they have already come out with memo's saying which bases are closing and when they are closing, and when the new base bids are due in? at any rate, i submitted my new bid after the memo had come out stating what was going to occur. the company had just plain come out and said that certain bases are shutting down, so do they really expect us to bid for a base that isnt even going to be open in may? im in phf now, and my new bid reflected roa, cho, ewn. i think it would be absolutely ridiculous for the company to come back and say that i had moved voluntarily, even when they just said that there closing down my base.

any PDT pilots at either CLT or PHF want to shout out where they are planning on trying to be based, maybe we could all get a sorta whip count.

....

roa for myself and my roomate. i know of 2 others who said they were going to syr. the rest i dont know.

ROA for me.

Yes, JohnnyP, I think they would do that! ALPA Legal has been consulted and they advised is to put that word out.

Just got word that anyone who changed their permanent bid to reflect a base other than what they're in now is considered to be voluntary.

Keep CLT/PHF as your number 1 choice!

The company is looking at involuntary moves for around 1/4 of the seniority list. What do you think they would do?

Stankbury is horrible. Stay away. It's absolutely the ...

okay, I'm lying. 14 OPENINGS? Wow. But correct me if I'm stupid, but this is a base closure. You can go anywhere your seniority holds; the openings happen to the displacements-- or am I playing with my meat whistle again? On top of that, I know of one CA in SBY who said he'd take a downgrade to stay in base (not to my face, though- this is second hand.)

when they force move you, do they give you a certain amount of dough or do you have to show reciepts, etc? because that might be a good thing for some people (like me) if they throw you a chunk of change... lol

When you get force moved Piedmont sends a Strip-O-Gram to your door. Usually it's Loretta covered in honey with one dollar bills stuck all over her sweet body. You get 30 seconds to remove as many of the bills as possible using only your mouth. What you get is what you keep for the move.

Good Luck To All.

Oh, and don't forget to look under the rolls.

Dude, you've ruined strips clubs for me permanently.....

Anyone know if PDT is a part of CASS?

Nope. None of us do. If you can point us toward someone who does, a fine, FINE striptease awaits.

My eyes....
