PDT to acquire MESA CRJ900 heard from a good source, the bourbon chicken lady.. just joking, actually a reputable source (no joke), a station manager of a hub lets just say. anyone hear the same stuff...??

Actually I think that Piedmont is in a unique position to take advantage of the resurgance of the turboprop.

Continental is looking for Q400 feed, Delta will have Dash's flying out of JFK by Freedom Air -- just a matter of time before Parker realizes that a high capacity, high-speed turboprop is a more efficient solution for point-to-point in those Northeast markets.

If he decides to pick up some -300s or Q400s, who better to put them with than a current Dash-8 operator?

Ok, here's how much I believe it. Oil hit around $78 per barrel. If it stays at these levels or higher, in 1 year PSA will be furloughing and Piedmont will be growing exponentially.

That's my prediction. Call 1-800-MS-CLEO for more. :)

You are right, who better to put them with than a current Dash 8 operator.... Mesa is a current Dash 8 operator and is much cheaper that PDT!

The Q-400 will scoot! On a 150-200 mile leg, the difference in flight time between an RJ and a 400 would be minimal. The Dork and Slob are 2 noisy.

Much Much cheaper, and the quality shows!

PDT is a smoking hole. If we are planning expansion, why is the company not going to upgrade any captains. They would rather force move capts. than upgrade?? This place is great. AM report, PM end, too late to get home. No APU, carry 32 people, but have 37 seats ( I guess that makes a couch in the back).

I guess I have made myself clear, I don't buy the rumor. Although I wish something good would happen to all of us Dash drivers.

If the company has good news, why are the employees always the last to hear? I suppose they have only bad news, or is no news good news?

....

I just figure they cant upgrade anyone because their big time short on FO's, so they cant pull anyone off for upgrade. But as was stated above, it is nice to see some old rumors floating around.

Photoflyer, if your off the next few days come on down to st.simons, we've got some spare bedrooms, bring the 'ol lady too. You can nonrev to ATL, then to BQK, 20 min's away, ill come pick you up. Beer, fresh seafood, beach, how can you refuse?.

Anyone of yall see that dash in LGA a few days ago that was sidelined with the nosegear problem? Make sure your tug driver actually hooks the towbar to both the aircraft AND the tug before he attempts a pushback. I just wonder what became of our plane that night. And it was on the last leg home, go figure.

I heard the flowthru talks are not going well. Kinda what I thought, otherwise we woulda heard something by now. I still haven't seen that big announcement that was supposed to come around march or so. Or at least that is what our union leader said.

Don't you mean, Purdue found a new way to process pilots!?!?

I wonder what Mr. Farrow's life is like. He must hide in SBY living in embarrassment. Of course, being embarrassed must mean he's been to Philly lately or inside of anyone of the -100's that are rotting before our eyes.

On the other hand, maybe he's not living in shame.

I hear some new shiny CRJ900's will be thrown at you when the PSA pilots give Tempe the big middle finger.

Good luck with that one.

We'd love them... For the same rates paid to mainline 90 seat drivers (IMHO anyway).

One thing I missed somehow, so please educate me:

How is it that 90 seat airplanes are even going to the express carriers? I thought all further 90 seat flying was supposed to be mainline?

His life consists of he and J.B. giving each other a rusty trombone hiding in a single wide trailer that sits inside of our corporate headquarters in SBY...Shameful to say the least

The transition agreement allows for something like 93 of those puke tubes to be flown at Express carriers.

Just out of curiosity. Does Mesa fly any Dash 8's for US/HP anymore or are they all now flying for UA and DL?

If Airways needs more turboprops out of PHX and LAS, I would imagine that PDT would be in a good position to get more Dash 8's of some kind. Or would they?

Any thoughts?
