Does anyone have any info on crash pads for PDT crews, I don't have a base yet, but just checking what my options are. Also, what are some good bases to get?

Good Luck!!!

At 500 hrs. with a few hours multi., I think you would be lucky to get to third base. You're new here aren't you? I wish your captains all the luck with their single-pilot types for the Dash.

Ignore that scum bag! Anyway, just go to your crew-room in the base you get, Sometimes people post stuff on boards. Maybe some people in your class can get together and even start one. I am based in EWN, and there are a couple of crash pads running there. Good Luck, you gonna need it.... LOL

An easy immediate option would be to split a hotel room with a few of your class buddies until you can ask around in your new base... Find out which hotel the company uses in your base and then you can ususally get that reduced rate for a room for you and your buds... It's only a temp but cheap fix unti you can find a room at a crash pad somewhere...

I don't know where you went to college, but I went to Riddle and they focus on quality as opposed to quantity (referencing flight time). Most of our graduates are better prepared to fly a jet than most of the guys out there already doing it. I was an intern. for a major airline, and I got to spend a lot of the time in the sim, but 9 times out of 10, I could out fly the captains. Most of the pilots I dealt with were awesome guys, but in terms of the flying and procedures, they weren't as good as me. At Riddle, we really focus on flows and s.o.p.'s, so we are ready when we hop into an rj. Maybe not the best choice, but I got typed in the 73, and that was not that bad. If I can fly a 73' at 400 hours, I don't see why someone can't fly a dash-8 at 600 hours.

YA KNOW, ITS GUYS LIKE YOU WHO PISS ME OFF. THERE ARE HONEST HARDWORKING PEOPLE ON HERE WHO CAN'T CATCH A BREAK, BUT BECAUSE "DADDY" PAID 200K TOO MUCH FOR YOUR 427 HOURS, YOU ARE GONNA GET A JOB BEFORE THE POOR GUY WHO WORKED HIS ASS OFF, RAISES A FAMILY AND IS A GOOD STICK. YOU MAKE ME SICK. GET A REAL JOB AND DO YOUR TIME. JUST BECAUSE YOU WENT TO RIDDLE DOSEN'T MAKE YOU ANY BETTER OF A PILOT, JUST ONE THAT HAD ALOT OF MONEY. YOU WILL BE LIVING OFF OF "DADDY'S" PURSESTRINGS ALL OF YOUR LIFE. SO DO YOUR TIME, FLY A 150 FOR WHAT SEEMS LIKE FOREVER, THEN APPLY. YOU WILL BE A BETTER PERSON FOR IT.

GOOD DAY SIR!!!
