I've seen the numbers on airlinepilotcentral, but I am looking for realistic first year take home pay numbers from both of these airlines. I assume with Piedmont you can fly as much over time as you want, is it the same at Colgan? Any help is greatly appreciated.

For Colgan,
I always like the "annual salary" number to go off of. I would say as an FO expect about $23,000 depending on base / hours, and as a Capt, maybe $34,000 ish?

Anyone think this is way off?

With all due respect before you decide to go to Colgan take a look at how many of their pilots are on here complaining about the work rules.... ask yourself, do you really want to work for a management style like this?

I have yet to make less than 100hrs (25.86? first year pay rate now?) credit at Piedmont. Most was around 119. I do not pick up trips. Throw in 200-500 per diem per month and do the math. Scratching near 35k net pay if I maintain this pace. I was going to have 16 days off this month but got JM, and will be pushed over 100 hrs again easy.

Your results may vary...

I made $34 K at pdt my first year. no hiring bonus, just used a lot on reserve. a lot of your money can come from the contract.

before i left, as a 2nd year fo i had just over 40k on the w2

PDT is 25.58/hr, 72 hour guarantee. 1.50/hr perdiem, and of course the 5k bonus.

Add in work rules. ALPA. Crew meals. APU. Better nonrev status on USAIR. You do the math....

Oh did I say WORK RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
