Can anybody tell me some more info other than whats on aviation interviews about piedmonts interview or just general info

Been a while since I interviewed, but it was a breeze.

Had a written test, mostly ATP type questions. Not difficult at all. One on one interview with either DO or CP, no technical questions wre asked. Pretty much a BS session like you'd have over a beer or two, just that we were all wearing suits instead of T shirts.

Be careful about interviewing here though.... They might actually hire you....

whats upgrade looking like at Piedmont

Like never!

Most junior captain - DOH 4/01.

Last upgrade class - 8/05.

Next upgrade class - ?????. Possibly some time soon, looks like we are short of captains.

PDT is ok....but build your time and then bail....no upgrade and the MEC is weak....but the Dash is fun to fly!

What is it about the Dash that you enjoy? I rarely hear anything negative about it beyond speed - that must be a good sign!

What is it about the Dash? Lots of things- roomy as heck up front, the freedom to just actually fly something instead of interfacing with it through a box... when you have a controller that knows what we can do and clears you for a short approach and you're abeam the numbers at 4,000 feet- THAT is fun! Lots of folks come up and say hi, and tell us how much we'll miss flying it down the road. You've reallllly shown your arse if you get three really good landings in a day. Wet runways, floating and/or in a 300 doesn't count... :)
