Airliners magazine published a letter from me about my dad's L-12A in response to an article in the Jan/Feb issue about JB's new terminal. It was the one, painted up in TWA colors, used in the dedication of the JB terminate at JFK. There is also a picture of state of the art avionics in 1962, DME was the latest rage, but no transponder in 1962. BTW the picture was taken at YIP.

YIP, find a scanner and post it on a photo hosting site like flickr.com. Would love to see more pics, personal pics as well, if you'd like to share.

Be sure to use the privacy and anonymous features built-in to the website. Too many knuckleheads on the internet. Protect your identity.
 
I have a friend in Ga. that has a 12A. Completely rebuilt over the last 10 years or more. New skins, every last scrap of copper replaced, you name it. New airplane. He flew it recently for a production of the Amelia Earhart story with Hillary Swank.

It's quite a machine. I'd love too see more pics of your father's as well.
