 yikes, that first year FO pay is beyond miserable. Holy cow.

The Captain pay is reasonable I suppose -- livable at least -- but without some guaranteed timeframe for upgrade I just can't imagine too many people (at least those without trust funds) going to work for Avantair.

I guess single, young, regional pilots are always the exception to every rule though.

Never ever take a job predicated on "upgrade time". Upgrades are generated by two things: growth and attrition. Both of those can grind to a stop in a New York second.

Never take a job where you are not prepared to remain First Officer for an extended period of time.

True. However, one year is the current upgrade time. We are growing. With Jet-A becoming more expensive by the minute, our Piaggios become more valuable by the minute.

We're relatively new and growing. Thus, the more conservative pay scale (when compared with older, more established fractionals). But we're still paid better than even the best of the regionals.

I believe that the original question was "fractionals or regionals?" Just thought I'd offer a suggestion. Good luck with the decision making process.

True, first year FO pay is not as good as it is at NetJets, but not everyone can get hired at NetJets, regardless of merit or other worth.

Nonetheless, it looks like your first year FO pay is significantly better than first year FO pay at ANY of the regionals, and a few major/legacies, as well.

I don't see any reason to bash these guys for their first year FO pay. Sure, it could be better, but it beats most 121 pay.

Good luck, and keep us updated. I am curious where you can go with 100 turbine PIC, other than the regionals. I wonder how competitive you are.

Netjets, CitationShares, Flexjet, Avantair, Alpha Flying, XO Jet, Flight Options, and any number of 135 operations....or a 91 operation if you're lucky and know somebody that's hiring (and they know you).
