FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- An eight-passenger airplane flying from New York has a runway shut down at Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport.

The Piagiao twin engine turbo prop had with two crew members on board when it landed at FLL, the Broward Sheriff's Office said. As the aircraft taxied on runway 9R around 10:36 a.m., the plane's left landing gear collapsed, according to police.

Neither of the two crew members was injured, but the plane leaked a small amount of fuel and BSO Fire Rescue was standing by to foam down the spill, police said.
