I am interested in finding out info on Phoenix Air. How is the QOL? What kind of upgrade time? What plane do they generally start out in? How is management and how do they view there pilots; meaning are they respectful or do they work you to death and treat you like crap?

Any info is greatly appreciated. Looking for options as I move on to the next step.

have been working there for the past 6 years. Just got back from Lear 35 recurrent last week. You will most likely need to move to Atlanta. We do a wide variety of operations. The Lears are used for international air ambulance(world-wide), company just flew to Bejing, China last week and have another ambulance trip to Warsaw, Poland this coming week.

The Lears are also used for military training. We do tracking exercises as well as towing targets. The G-1's are used for passenger flights as well as cargo(again world-wide) and some military operations. The pay is excellent, but is based on how much you fly(more you fly, more you make).

We do have a schedule on the internet that we use for trips. It is usually very reliable except for pop-up ambulance trips which usually last about 4 days.

You may one day be flying a cargo trip to Guatemala and 2 days later towing targets around the Atlantic and then head off to Rome Italy, or some place you never heard of to pick up a sick person.

The owner is very easy to work with, if you let him know what kind of schedule you like, he will try to accomodate. If you are uncomfortable with a certain type of mission, again no problem. FlightSafety is used for all training.

We operate Lear 35/36's, G1's(love that plane), and just started getting G-111's(really looking forward to that one). We have some kind of small Citation, don't know anything about that one.

It is a great place to work, just be very flexible for trips and be able to handle flying all types of missions and in different aircraft. You will start in whatever plane a co-pilot is needed for and upgraded/transitioned as needed. Seniority list really doesn't apply here.

Oh, and you will need to be able to get a security clearance. If you have anything in your background that would not allow that, you probably shouldn't bother.

If you have any more questions, please ask and I will try to answer.
