I am trying to find out information about Phoenix Air in Cartersville, Georgia. I know they have an air ambulance operation, charter, and some government contracts. I am wondering what the minimum requirements are and can someone actually get hired with out having some on the inside help out. Also curious as to the starting pay for and FO. Thanks for the help in advance

I don't have the specifics to your questions. But, there was a guy who started a thread maybe three months ago about Phoenix. Start with a search on the menu tab.
I know about 6 or 8 ex-Phoenix guy. They're all Legit! Type of guy's I want in the cockpit! Good luck in your search.

Overqualified,

PM me any specific questions you have. I flew there for 3 years as a cross-trained FO after college, my best friend for 5 leaving as a LJ and G-I CA. About pay though: the payscale hasn't changed in over 10 years but you start at $30 HR first year and go to $38 HR the second. After that, $2 HR annual increase. Base daily pay is $100. Base monthly pay is $1200 for the first six months and $1600 after that for FOs, $2000 for CAs. CAs start at $60 HR and get the same increase. A 3 year FO would start CA pay at $66. Basically, you fly for "free" until you hit the daily and monthly salary guarantee.

My only regret about Phoenix is that I wish I'd better enjoyed my time there and not rushed to the regionals. Phoenix is by far one of the best jobs in aviation (probably the most unique) and absoluetly one of the worst careers.
