I will be laying over in Manila soon and I heard there are a few wood carving shops close to the hotel zone that can craft up a model fairly fast. Does anyone have names and contact info of some places?

Check with Orly over at Continental Air Micronesia. He is our mechanic. He get a hook up for you as long as you want one of the commonly stocked models. Custom orders take a few months but you can have them done in any scale/paint scheme/etc. you want.

All I can say is AVOID AVOID AVOID Griffin Aeromodel. They are based out of Texas. Truly the worst business experience I have ever dealt with.

I've bought 3 models from AsainImports. Excellent quality and finishing. One was even incorrect and they took it back and built a correct one.

Highly recommend Asian Imports. Took a long time to get it but a great model overall. If you can get to Clark, they're worth checking out in person.
