Hi Folks.

I am thinking of going for my Private Pilot's license.
I realize that it is a signifigant outlay of cash, but I have that covered.

What I am lookin for, is some opinions on Delaware Valley, PA Area Flight schools.

Thanks in Advance,
Chuck

I've been taking flight lessons for a little under a year from Montgomery County Aviation @ Wings Field (KLOM) in Blue Bell, PA. Its a real good outfit in my opinion. The only potential negative is its non-towered so you won't get much ATC exposure. If that's important to you (it wasn't for me) then the other option in the area is Hortman's Aviation over at Northeast Philadelphia Airport (KPNE). Their aircraft are older (all of the aircraft at Wings are 2001 vintage and newer) and I believe, as a result, the rentals at Hortman's or lower. I visited both schools before deciding to go with MCA mainly due to the newer fleet and the relatively slower paced atmosphere at Wings (I'm purely a recreational flyer and I just found Wings less intimidating). Good luck.
