I was flying with a former flops guy the other day. I asked him how did they make the beech jet work when we at nja had all these problems. He said we were not working it right and were way to conservative. I asked him for an example.

He said a couple weeks ago he was with another nja capt. The weather at xyz airport was 2000ft and 5 miles. but the top of the climb on the departure was 2500ft and they could not make the climb graidient at the top of climb so they did not go. He said that if that was at flight options they would have went and if you refused you would have been fired.

I have been able to get a 3.3 at max wt some where above sea level. Great Falls, mt -17c. That was alot of fun.
