DESCRIPTION
Phelps Dodge Corporation is searching for a qualified Co-Pilot.
Phelps Dodge Corporation, Phelps Dodge Mining Company, one of the world's leading producers of copper and molybdenum and the world's largest producer of continuous copper rod is currently seeking qualified candidates a Co-Pilot position, for the Corporate Air Services Department located in Phoenix, Arizona.
REQUIREMENTS
Major Responsibilities:
Fly company aircraft and execute functions below:
- Must aid Captain in the safe efficient conduct of the flight, from pre-flight planning through post-flight securing of the aircraft.
- Assumes command of the aircraft when the Captain is unable to exercise command
- Review and monitor checklists and factors such as weight and balance, fuel supply, weather and field conditions, flight routes and inoperative components.
- File flight plans, complete flight logs and related paperwork as directed by the captain
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess appropriate Pilot's Certificate issued by FAA
- Possess FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of five years experience in the field or two or more years of college in business administrations or technical training
- A minimum of 2,500 hours total flying time
- Airline Transport Pilot rating, Multi-Engine
- Flexibility and availability to work/fly non-traditional hours
- Availability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machines and photo-copier
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; Skilled in safety practices and recognizing hazards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Jet Experience - 500 hours
- Gulfstream 4 type rating preferred.
- International experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Part 91 Operator rules
