I'm hiring on the Citation if you're interested. I fired Alex.....

I'm 6 ft tall. Is there going to be a lot of hassle to get the paperwork to remove the blocks on the right rudder pedals????? Also my compensation package has to be a little better than Alex's, I'll only take the job if you up the wages to 2 Snickers bars/week, and 2 packs of baseball cards every other flight.:) :) :)

Make him finish his vegetables first...;)

must be something in the water in the Balt area....anyways..

keep up that good attitude! corp flying is fun - but the FBO and Charter end of it are the real pits....and NO, Im not based at an FBO....FBO's are for the poor folks bro!

good luck with the CFI job search. My only advice there - dont waste time at a place that is just a flight school - it just prolongs the agony...work for a place that has some advancement - even if you have to move! You want to fly corp jets? move to where they are based.

and yes, occasionally one gets a deadhead leg to position for a flight etc...but on the charter end that is usually at the beginning or the end of a LONG LONG day and it just is not fun most of the time!!

Cramped RJ? - have you ever been in a citation or a Learjet or just about any other bizjet? My guess is the RJ has more room......dont go into bizav for the comfy ride - you aint in back, Jack. The cockpits get more comfy in the GV and Global types.....but now you are doing 12-13 hour legs.....and NOTHING is comfy after 13 hours..!!

again,

good luck!!

You can fly the little jet like a fighter jet as long as you abide by speed and ATC climb restrictions.

I'm single so living by a pager and cell phone won't bother me but I'm getting ahead of myself

wait...let me get my pimp hand out.

  **SMACK**

You will look better to an employer because you didn't pay for your job with money but hard work sweat and hopefully not alot of tears.
Your last sentence is all you really needed to write. It said it all.

I agree that there are other forms of flying that can be just as satisfying as the airlines.

Thanks for your comments.

Anytime, I just wanted to put my two cents worth in.

I admit I have never flown a business jet but it seems to me as long as the Captain doesn't mind you could climb like a bat out of hell without passengers complaining. You can fly the little jet like a fighter jet as long as you abide by speed and ATC climb restrictions. I would like to hear from business jet flyers, do you have a little fun when no one is aboard or do you keep it professional.
Duuuuuude ( ...shaking head...)
If you want a fighter, join the military or play computer games. Yes we keep it professional. We fly it empty the same way we do with the owners in the back. No, we don't climb vertical or do roles at FL410. We still have fun but not by "yanking and backing." Save that for your days off in an Extra 300.

I would rather go from fbo to fbo than have to fly multiple legs in a cramped regional jet.
Like the other guy said. Have you sat in a Citation or Lear? It's not a Lazy boy. Neither is a CRJ but there is A LOT MORE room than there is in the C750.

I'm too old to join the military, I am 34 years old. I just don't want flying to ever not be fun, after all I love flying with all my heart. In my opinion which may differ from others is that I would rather fly business jets, I want to eventually work for Netjets the people are just good people. I shouldn't say that I will never work for an airline but I would rather fly the business jets.

I used to feel the same way you do. I thought corporate was the best way to go, and I went to cargo, but decided to go to a regional. I have friends that went corp, and love it, but it's just not for me. Anyway, I do fly a corporate jet, it's a stretched Challenger. I also can stay on the pager and hang out in FBO's if I want, just bid reserve and do charters. Better food on those flights, too!

Hey, look who made it back to the message board! SDD, I thought you dropped off the face of the planet (or got run over by an evil mainline pilot or something along those lines ;) ) .....
