EasyJet Airline Company Ltd
PILOT SPONSORSHIP SCHEME placed on: 17/12/2003
-

FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY!!!

We are delighted to announce the easyJet Type Rating Sponsorship Scheme. We hope that this scheme will help us to recruit even more new talented pilots into the company.

Through that scheme we will require a bond of £23,000 representing a proportion of the total training costs. The good news is that for those of you that do not have access to personal funding, arrangements have been made to introduce you to a funding facility to obtain an unsecured loan for the bond money required.

If you would like to find out more about this fantastic new opportunity, or if you would like to apply, please click apply online to visit our website.

...dunno what 23,000L is in american dollars, but at least they correctly note that it is indeed, a scheme

That's about 28K.

I thought the same thing about the "scheme."

In Europe we use "scheme" as here in the US you would use "program".

It IS a lot of cash, but a lot of airlined bond - even in the US. I guess a close example is the 73 rating needed for SWA? I know $8500 or so is a lot less, but.............oh gawd, I just realised. This is becoming another PFT type thread. I must sto

23,000 pounds sterling = 40,848 U.S dollars.

They do not recieve a PIC type rating on their license.

European airlines have been doing this for many years. It is not uncommon to have a 500 hr. TT, 10 PIC large jet F.O.

SWA doesn't care were or how you get your 73 type. It's just a requirement.

Scheme and scam are different, but in this case, they are the same.
