Just finished my first trip to the Pacific Rim; loved it.
Got a lot of questions, though. Here's the 1st...
Any of you guys know the size of those concrete blocks used to "puzzle together" the runway in Petropovlovsk, Russia? Seemed to be 50x20.
I'm just curious for my own sake.
 
I have not been there but we have crews that have. They put the runway together that way due to the perifrost, apprently it is very, very rough. We were suppose to be doing a scheduled service to that runway last year but it was cancelled due to political problems and the surface of the runway was one of the considerations.
