Personal bankrupcy-Will it affect hiring on with ASA?

I have a friend who is qualified and has no driving or legal infractions. He wishes to apply for a regional airline (ASA) but wants to know if a past bankrupcy on his credit will affect employment.Perhaps someone has heard of someone in this situation or knows guidlines. Any help would be greatly appreciated as he does not want to go through with interview process if this will be a problem.

With all the airlines running short staffed, I highly doubt it.

He should have no problems! Even if he had legal infractions! All the regionals are scrambling for qualified Pilots to occupy the right seat of the airplanes!

Tell him to shotGun Resumes all over, he should hear something pretty quick.

At this point, I don't think a murder conviction would keep you from getting hired at a regional.

Yea, I don't even think you would have to wait for the ink to dry on your new Multi/Commerical Ticket before you would get a call!

It would be a bit ironic and hypocritical for any airline to look down on an applicant for claiming bankruptcy.

You said a mouthful there sir!

Had a freind at Mesaba who had one and got hired in 04 with no problem.

Considering NWA/XJ recent past it might be worth a bullet point on the resume.

Seeing the title of this thread, I rushed over here to type words almost exactly matching the ones above.
