Is there a web site that breaks down per hour operating costs for each a/c in the military? Specifically, I'm wondering how much it costs to operate the AH-64 and cost of the C-130 vs. C-17 per hour. Also, what factors determine costs? Do they factor in labor or just parts and fuel?

Thanks

Flight Hours

Cost per hour is based on all three factors of Labor (manhours), Parts, and Fuel.

I doubt there is a site but, am not sure.

$

Institutional knowledge is that the AH-64A model costs about $2700-3000/hour to run. I am sure the Longbow model is a few hundred more. Highly doubt there is a site listing costs per hour per airframe. It is something you would have to dig for yourself on.

F22

Does anyone know where I can rent an F22 in good condition. It says that they are renting them for $55.78/hr. Even I can afford that..lol.

C-17

We were stuck in Thailand (VTBU) with a chips light and had a gear box flown in from Kadena. Dan Generette (if you get the chance, party with this man! He does it right!) gave us the paperwork to give up the accounting data to the AF...had it listed @ 8K/flying hour.

It's amazing how things just break in Thailand! Australia, too. Usually with a JO crew....
