I was hoping to get some info on either of these operators. I'm a 600hour CFII/MEI, I've got two years and 200+ hours given. I teach part time now and I'm looking for a full time slot somewhere with the ability to move up into charters.

Precision Flight at PFN

Pensacola Aviation Center at PNS

Thanks for any information!

Hey man, I work at Precision Flight in Panama City. My advise: stay away from Sowell Aviation. I worked there for a while, and I also got my private there 3 years ago and I'll never go back. Anyway, if you have any questions give me a PM or email. They might be lookin for a new CFI

Hey guys, I'm going to have about 3 hours to kill at PFN next week. Never been there before, can you recommend any place to get a decent meal? Thanks!!

Florabama

Try the Flor-a-bama on the border of FL. and AL. you might even see Jimmy Bufffet there. I go into Gulf Shores all the time and you HAVE to get Ruby Reds (shrimp). Have fun.

Well, the Floribama is indeed an excellent place, but it would be quite a drive from PFN (Panama City), probably at least 4 hrs . . . .

The shrimp you refer to are known as "Royal Reds", but I know your heart is in the right place!

Hey, if you are a regular visitor to JKA, check out Lucy Buffet's place (LuLu's) on the AL side of 98, under the bridge at Week's Bay. You'd be more likely to catch Jimmy there, especially on his Mom's birthday . . . .

gulfshores

the floribama bar is closer to gulf shores Do not blink you'll miss it. I flew into gulfshores one night to go there. Quite a mixture of people. It's an optical illusion - small on the outside huge inside. Is that batman hanger still at gulf shores ? I also saw a cool cheeta paint job on a pilatus that was on the tarmac

Yea, Gulf Shores is quite a bit of a drive from Panama City. If you like seafood - Uncle Earnies is the place to go! We recommend it to all the pilots that come through here.

Also, if you are coming to Panama City - come visit us at Precision Flight - $1.99 full service for both avgas and jet.

I sent you an e-mail. If you didn't get it let me know and I'll PM you.

I second the vote for Uncle Earnies....I have spent many Airlink 3 hour layover eating at that fine establishment. If your into oysters the Hunts oyster bar is a crusty little hole in the wall that serves them up on the half shell. I doubt the station people will let you guys take the truck but you can rent a crew car at sowell (the FBO next to the terminal) for like $10. Have fun!
