Peltor Headsets

Briefly put on a Peltor headset in the distant past. Felt pretty comfortable and was quiet. Any words on long-term reliability, operability, etc would be appreciated.

I have had mine for two years now. I got the 7006 model as a pax headset and they are still in one piece. They have only logged ~20 hours of time though and I have only used them for ~5 hours.

Personally, I found them marginally acceptable as a main pilot headset due to their lightweight construction, bad sound reduction, and lack of beefy padding. They are wonderful for a pax headset due to their basic design, feather light weight, small size and ease of use.

I have been using two Peltor 7004's for about five years. They are excellent , very light with good noise attenuation.

They are not as rugged as some headsets, but mine have lasted well.

I had one that got an intermittant mic plug , I sent it to them and they fixed it free. It was hard to track down their customer service, they didn't seem really happy I called but they did fix it and cleaned it up nicely.

I'm happy with them.

I think I've had my 7004s for almost 10 years now. Like them so much, even did an ANR add-on about 2 years ago.

One thing to watch for are the thumbscrews that hold the microphone assembly together. Check them for tightness once in a while.
