PDT PIC Bid

The first round award for the 5 PIC spots came out. After the current CA's filled those 5 spots by moving from their current base, they now only show 3 spots available for upgrades. Lol. And 1 of the spots was taken by TM in SBY. WTFO?

Who is that K. Meyer posting those PIC/SIC bids on the web? That was quite the posting by Scrobola too... why is he leaving? Whos is taking his place? Does anyone ever proofread or think before they post stuff at this company? I saw the first Daily come out with the new SBY construction and it just said... "runway 5/23 will be closed for construction"... it didn't say what airport.. finally someone caught that.

It wouldn't surprise me if it is an error. On the last SIC bid they had a guy from my base going to ROA, but he never even bid ROA. Who knows? This is probably the same computer system that erases entire days from my pay report when I have cancellations.

EDIT: Lol never mind. I just saw the post about him coming back to the line. Glad I'm not a SBY FO.

I love how they just slip that news in at 4:59 on a FRI afternoon.

BTW, did anyone see the Crew News on The Hub? SK is something else. He said, "you PDT F/Os that stick around will be glad you did in the next 3-4 years". Then he said something on the line of 'career progression to mainline'. Whatever!

If MS leaves, so goes PDT. That is a freaking FACT- and too many of us don't hang our futures on his survivorship! Nobody gets that red flag.

wonder where he will show up in the sen list. He was always listed on the ALG list with his 82 DOH until about the time of MDA (late 03) then he came off it only to reappear in the summer of 04 sumtime back at the bottom of the ALG list prior to the PDT/ALG list merger.

I guess I wrote that poorly, MS posted a letter about TM leaving management and going back to the line. It's titled "flight ops update". That was his update that he didn't have time to do anymore because the weather is better and the beaches are open down there!!

A whopping 4 upgrades this year! I'm guessing this will be the only ones of 2007. An all new low. I find the craziest part to be the fact that the first FO upgrade is #21 on the list (minus those on leave). I'm upgrading at the first possible chance. Wonder where the next 3 will come from. I know commuting sucks, but for the most part pilots need PIC to move on to bigger and better things.

Kinda sucks TM is leaving. He may have a "cushy" job in some eyes, but every time I call to talk to JB, TM seems to be the only one available. He listens and works scheduling problems out for me in a quick manner. I hope they get a good replacement. I would leave that hell hole of a chicken coop office too if I were him. At least then you get to leave SBY a few days a week.
