I find myself loosing sim type skills as I sit reserve(for the last two years). Instead of sitting here arguing with people I don't know about things like Chemtrails and JFK's assassination, maybe I should use my free time to practice ADF approaches.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a decent PC based IFR refresher simulator? I just want to be able to shoot the standard checkride style approaches and maybe do a little holding. Does Microsofts sim allow for approaches and that type of flying? All ideas are appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
enigma

BTW, I don't really feel the need for a full flight sim. I need to practice procedures, and could care less about take offs and landings; and could also care less about realism in any aspect other than instrument procedures.

Enigma,
i have been practicing 737-400 approaches on microsoft FS 98 and have found it is a lot harder than i thought it would be!!!
No doubt it would help anyone keep sharp.
