Does anyone know what insurance companies are looking for in terms of insurance minimums for a PC-12? Total? Turbine? Anything they look for in particular? Any ballpark ideas? It would be for a part 91 operation.

Thanks for your time

A friend who owns/operates a CJ2 is currently managing/crewing one and apparently the insurance wants between 1500-2000 total time, and initial training whether it be via FSI/Simcom/comparable. This seems a tad high but the company operating it (owner) has a high insurance policy written with regards to liability, loss, etc, so that may have something to do with the "higher mins" that are wanted. I find it hard to believe that you would be insurable as PIC of the PC-12 with under 1,000 hours total time but I may be mistaken. The above example is operated solely under 91 and is for a medium sized cosmetics company.

good luck, you never know until you submit your times, etc.

I'm flying 135 in PC-12's. I was insured with 1600 total time and about 40 turbine plus Simcom PC-12 Initial.
