If anyone has a salary survey, can you tell me the average pay for a BE-200 or CE-500 corporate captain in the midwest. I may have the opportunity to start flying when the owner buys the plane. For you coporate guys with experience, what are some of the perks that you negotiate when you start with a new company. Thanks.

I cant help you with salary #'s, but Im sure locals will..

Perks?

Some to think about:

definitly unlimited free cell phone.
Uniform/suit.
dry cleaning.
Laptop computer.
home fax / phone line / 800#
back-up phone card where cell does not work
company credit card (WITH points preferably)
no wait vesting in 401(k)
expense account rules (pilots are unique) hotels, rental car one way drops, limos etc..
sign on cash bonuses (believe it or not I did get one once!!) - never hurts to ask.

just a few ideas for you. good luck with you job!!!!

Cash sign on bonus?! My resume is on the way. I don't have to use the cash bonus to pay for training do I?

G200 speaks with wisdom and experience. The list is good to go as far as I can see. The important items are those that will enable you to do your job to the best of your ability. Cell phones are as important as a clean underwear and as important as most of the items on that list. All you can do is present the proposal and go from there.

As far as the salary, I looked on my Avcrew salary survey (for what its worth) and did not see a BE200 or CE500 info listed.
Try and get hold of NBAA info on salary. Knowledge is power.

Gulfstream 200

Those are some great ideas. I would like to add a few to the list.

1. Company car or gas account
2. Salary schedule
3. Time off after "core" tasks are completed
4. Training budget (flight safety, additional ratings, etc.)
5. Vacation amount
6. Comp time for overtime worked
7. Overtiime
