This may have been beat to death already, but do other airlines require that you have your passport on their person for all training including recurrent? I understand the Dept of Justice requirement that came out after 9/11 that required US citizenship for all training in anything over 12,500 pounds. But, I've had my passport copied a dozen times by the company since then and I am sure that even before 9/11 they knew who all of the US citizens where. I don't understand why it has been placed on the IP's to now be experts on passports. Where can I find this requirement? I can understand once, but everytime seems to be a misinterpertation of the original law.

ps. Still also trying to figure out why employees can bypass security at one airport but not another (ie ATL vs DFW). I thought we were under national control?
